Helping Lifehouse Church meet a crucial opening deadline

Lifehouse Church is a growing, community-focused church with a strong involvement in the life of Chesterfield.

Its relocation from Chatsworth Road to its new premises at 3 Beetwell House in Chesterfield town centre in 2026 involved an ambitious 12-month programme to transform a former nightclub and snooker hall into a modern new church.

With the opening date approaching, the church needed to secure funding to complete the building work. Mason Thomas Law client Jonathan Dickens, CEO of SMH Group, recommended the firm to church trustee Jane Meakin when it came to appointing a solicitor.

Drawing on Mason Thomas Law’s specialism in secured lending and director Jo Malcolm’s conveyancing expertise, Jane worked closely with Jo to complete the necessary searches and legal documentation, to satisfy the lender’s requirements and keep the time-sensitive transaction moving.

Lifehouse Church at Beetwell Street is now officially open. The new church features a stunning café, a connections area, break out areas, and the auditorium.

The 500 seat auditorium will also be available for hire along with other spaces in the building.
