First time commercial property buyer, second time lucky
It was a case of second time lucky for first time commercial property buyer Aiysha Rahim.
Despite a failed attempt to purchase a property for their business 12 months ago, Aiysha was not deterred and, with the help of Mason Thomas Law, secured a new, permanent home for her family’s domiciliary eye care business – a process Aiysha even described as ‘excellent’.
After years of renting office space in Moorgate Crofts Business Centre in Rotherham, Mobile Opticians has now made the move to its own unit at Claire Court in Rawmarsh, Rotherham.
The new premises at Claire Court now provides a base for the Mobile Opticians’ team of four which delivers mobile optometry services to care homes and people in their own homes throughout South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw.
Established 11 years ago, Mobile Opticians had tried to buy premises for Mobile Opticians a year earlier, unfortunately the sale fell through due to a bad survey.
Jo Malcolm, Director and Licensed Conveyancer at Mason Thomas Law who assisted Aiysha with the purchase, said: “When the sale fell through on the first property it was disappointing; unfortunately, the seller was unwilling to move on price so that the necessary building work could be completed. I am pleased that Aiysha wasn’t deterred by this experience, and we were able to successfully complete the purchase of Mobile Opticians’ new offices.”
Aiysha praised Mason Thomas Law, saying: “Jo was just excellent throughout the process. She was so thorough and very supportive. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mason Thomas Law.”
