Organised by the leading industry publishers behind the WhatHouse?, the glittering awards ceremony was held at The Londoner in Leicester Square, London, on 14 May and hosted by comedian and writer Lou Sanders.
Established in 2019 by solicitor and director Cathy Mason, the firm has rapidly built a reputation for its specialist expertise in commercial property, secured lending and residential conveyancing.
Judges described Mason Thomas Law as “an impressive specialist property firm with a strong ethos, energy and focus.”
The firm’s conveyancing team, led by Jo Malcolm, was also praised as “progressive”, with judges highlighting how it “combines exceptional client service, professional credibility, people development and technology to deliver outcomes with impact.”
The awards brought together many of the UK’s leading conveyancing and property law specialists, with 21 businesses and individuals recognised across 13 categories following assessment by an independent judging panel made up of legal, property and new homes experts.
Cat Murray, Business Development Director at The Conveyancing Awards, said: “Our winners and highly commended recipients reflect many of the profession’s best-known and well-respected companies, alongside innovators, disruptors and rising stars, all deserving sincere congratulations. They truly are the benchmark for what outstanding conveyancing looks like.”
Cathy Mason said: “We are absolutely delighted to receive national recognition. We were up against some well-established and much larger firms, so to be highly commended in both categories is amazing.”

The latest accolades build on the firm’s recent success at the 2026 Sheffield & District Law Society Awards, where Mason Thomas Law was named Commercial Property Law Firm of the Year for the third consecutive year. Awards organisers described the firm’s latest regional victory as “undefeated and so well deserved”.
Since launching, Mason Thomas Law has continued to expand its commercial property offering, advising developers, investors, lenders and business owners on transactions supporting regeneration and economic growth across England and Wales.
The firm’s conveyancing services have also expanded significantly over the last 18 months, with transactions increasing by more than 60% prompting the recruitment of an additional conveyancer, Mollie Lancaster, to the team last year.
The national recognition in the Conveyancing Awards marks another milestone for the practice, which has established itself as a growing force within the UK commercial property sector and Yorkshire and north Derbyshire’s residential property market.
