Candice Birch, Commercial Property Solicitor here at Mason Thomas Law began her career as a property paralegal in 2011 after having completed a law degree at the University of Sheffield. She then went on to study at BPP University achieving a distinction in the Legal Practice Course!

What is the best thing about working for Mason Thomas Law?

The team are really supportive of each other. It really is a lovely place to work.

 

What motivates you at work?

Doing a good job and knowing that your clients are happy.

 

What gives you the greatest satisfaction in your role?

Completion days are exciting! I really like working on properties locally where we can see new business grow or develop in our area.

 

What do you like most about your role?

The variety of work and the diverse client base.

 

Why do you think Mason Thomas Law stands out in the property law field?

Being a specialist firm we just do property, so we do it really well. Our clients know they can speak to us directly and that we will be available to help over the phone, in person or by email. We don’t take on 1000s of files so we can complete on matters quickly and efficiently.

 

If you hadn’t chosen this career path, what do you think you would be doing instead?

Beyonce’s backing singer, but as I can’t sing I had to look at other options.

 

How do you start your day?

A cup of coffee and a to do list for the day.

 

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

Eating out and traveling and experiencing new places.

 

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

I’d really love to be able to play an instrument.

 

What is your idea of the perfect weekend?

Wine tasting, cheese boards, followed by a lazy morning with a lie-in…

 

What would be your dream travel destination?

Tanzania – I was meant to honeymoon there before Covid de-railed our plans.
