Mason Thomas Law named Sheffield’s top commercial property law firm for third consecutive year
Mason Thomas Law has been named Commercial Property Law Firm of the Year for the third consecutive year at the Sheffield and District Law Society awards, reinforcing its position as one of the region’s leading specialist property law practices.
The Sheffield-based seven-strong all female firm triumphed once again at the annual ceremony, held on Friday 27 February at the Royal Victoria Hotel in Sheffield. The awards organisers described the win as ‘undefeated and so well deserved’.
Cathy Mason, Director and solicitor of Mason Thomas Law said: “We are just delighted to have been named once again as the Law Society’s top commercial property law firm. When I established Mason Thomas Law, I set out to do property law differently; to have open lines of communication at every level in the firm. To win this award for the third-year running tells me we are doing just that, and it’s working. We have wonderful clients who frequently recommend us.”
Securing the title for a third successive year recognised Mason Thomas Law’s technical expertise, client service and continued growth within the commercial property sector.
Recent notable deals for Mason Thomas Law have included a new high street store in Nottingham for leading vintage clothing retailer Glass Onion, and overseeing the purchase of the iconic Skeldale House, now a hotel, which appeared in the opening credits of more than 90 episodes of TVs All creatures Great and Small.
Founded in 2019, Mason Thomas Law has built a strong reputation for acting on complex acquisitions, disposals, secured lending matters and development projects across South Yorkshire and beyond. The firm has differentiated itself through a deliberately transparent and communicative approach to client relationships.
Judges at the annual Sheffield and District Law Society awards recognised the firm’s consistent performance, strong client feedback and sustained commitment to high professional standards in a competitive regional market.
Since its launch, Mason Thomas Law has continued to expand its commercial property offering, advising developers, investors, lenders and business owners on transactions that support regeneration and economic growth across the city and wider region.
The latest accolade marks another milestone for the practice, which has rapidly established itself as a key player in Sheffield’s legal landscape.
Later this month on 12 March, the firm will also find out whether it has triumphed in the British Conveyancing awards where it has been shortlisted for Commercial Property Team of the Year and Conveyancing Firm of the Year – North.
