As Managing Director of Market Infra Consulting, a growing professional strategic development and marketing consultancy service for infrastructure businesses, Tom Hudson has little spare time on his hands.
The Sheffield-based business, was established by Tom in 2016. The company’s team of bid writers, proposal managers and project managers work with infrastructure companies supporting them with projects pre, during and post construction.
With 15 office-based employees it’s no surprise that the business has outgrown its current home at Cubo in Sheffield. The search is on for a new home….cue Mason Thomas Law.

Mason Thomas Law subsequently successfully assisted Tom with the purchase of a property. However, it was when Tom was seeking a new home for Market Infra that Mason Thomas Law proved invaluable.
The ‘very good legal advice’ that Cathy gave Tom led to him pulling out of signing a lease for office space for his business.
Tom had identified office space in the largest Listed structure in Europe as a potential new home for Market Infra. The Grade II listed status of the building meant a lease agreement was not straightforward.
He explained: “Cathy and Candice helped me make sense of a complicated lease agreement. It was very stressful period but to have someone at the end of the phone I could ask questions and get advice from throughout the process was invaluable.”
The lease terms were restrictive, and Cathy identified that this could cause problems for Tom as his business grew.
It was concerns raised by the Mason Thomas Law team that prompted Tom to walk away from the deal at the contract signing stage. “I pulled out on the back of their very good legal advice; a decision I certainly don’t regret. We have actually found a new home now, a property on Abbeydale Road that I purchased last year with assistance from Mason Thomas Law.
